Would you like to save up to 3 lives and get some free snacks? Vanden’s fall blood drive will be on Tuesday, October 1st in the Little Theater. Donors must be at least 16. All donors will need to pick up permission forms from Ms. McIntyre at lunch in Q-1. Permission forms are due back to Q-1 by lunch on Friday, September 27th. Please consider making a life-saving donation if you are able!
Hey Vikes: want to win a prize? Follow our four core values posted in our classrooms and earn a green or gold Viking ticket from any staff member. Take your ticket to the front office and you will be entered in to a monthly drawing for awesome prizes. Drawings are the first Monday of each month, so get those tickets turned in before October 7th.
A representative from the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corp will be on campus Thursday, September, 19th during lunch in the Little Theater.
A representative from the University of Hawaii, Manoa will be on campus Monday, September 23rd during lunch in the Little Theater.

The next Black Student Union meeting is on Tuesday, September 17th at lunch in Q-2. Everyone is welcome. We will vote on Club Officers, and form committees.
Homecoming dance is October 5th. Tickets are $15 without ASB and $10 with ASB sticker. The entire month of September. Ticket prices will increase next month.

Our after school Work-Ready Certificate program starts on September 24th. We’ll give you all the skills and tools you need to get a job. The Vanden Unity Club meets every Friday at lunch in room F1-2. The theme for this month is UNITY IN DIVERSITY. So, bring your ideas and your friends to explore this very important principle. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Attention parents: Vanden Sober Grad Night is a parent-led organization that works with the school and community to raise funds in order to provide a safe, sober environment for our Vanden Seniors to celebrate their high school success! Parent volunteers are needed and always welcome!
The Semper Fidelis All-American Summer Program is now accepting applications. In order to apply, students must be a junior, have a 3.5 or higher GPA, be active in community service, play a competitive team sport and hold a student or community leadership position.
