• Calfornia Alternate Assessment (CAA)
In July 2014, the State Board of Education directed the CDE to eliminate the California Alternate Performance Assessment (CAPA) in ELA and mathematics, which tested students with significant cognitive disabilities.  The CAA is the successor to the CAPA.  During spring 2015, a field test of the CAA was administered to students with significant cognitive disabilities in grades 3-8 and 11, in ELA and mathematics.  This field test examined the performance of test items and did not yield individual student scores. The CAA is a computer-based assessment.
The window for the 2015-16 CAA will be posted here when available.
