What's New at TEC?

  • Grades and New Classes

Posted by Allyson Azevedo on 9/21/2020

Today marks the end of the 1st grading period. By now, students were able to earn 15 creditsBy next Monday, parents can login to Aeries to check grades for the first grading period. Report Cards will not be mailed home since grades can be checked in Aeries. Checking grades on a computer is easier than checking from a phone; please use a computer, if possible.

When logging into Aeries, look at both the letter grade and the number of credits the student earned in the class. Students should have earned 5 credits in each class, for a total of 15 credits. Anything less than that means that your student failed 1 or more credits. If after looking in Aeries next week, you have questions about your child's progress, please contact the school.

Also, students will be assigned to 3 new classes tomorrow, 9/22. When students login to LaunchPad in the morning, their new classes should be displayed. Please ask your student to login to LaunchPad tomorrow, by 9am, to make sure things look right in Google Classroom. If there are issues, please ask your student to send a Google Chat message to Ms. Rude or
    Mrs. Preston by 9am tomorrow.

Please continue to monitor your student's progress through Aeries. The second grading period ends on October 27th. Students should be earning 1 credit per week, per class, for a total of 15 credits. Please encourage your student to stay on track with all work.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please contact the school. We want to partner with you to support your student's success.

  • Back to School Information

Posted by Allyson Azevedo on 8/3/2020

    Back to school

Welcome back to our returning students and welcome to our new students joining us from other schools. Since the decision was made that all TUSD and Solano County schools will start the year with Distance Learning, the teachers and staff have been busy getting ready. We have made many changes to provide our students with a structured and rigorous learning experience while they are learning from home. Thank you for your patience as we have been working to develop a plan and communicate with you. If you haven't had an opportunity to read TUSD's Return To School Family Information document, you can find it here.

The health and safety of our students and staff remains our top priority. During Distance Learning, the TEC and CDS campus is closed to everyone but staff. We ask students and parents not to come onto campus. All communication between teachers/office staff and families will be through phone calls, live video conferencing or email. The office hours for phone calls is Monday through Friday, from 8am to Noon. (excluding holidays) Please call the office during this time if you need to speak to the school secretary, principal, or counselor.

Principal – Allyson Rude Azevedo –

Feedback from students, parents, and staff has led to several important changes that will affect all students.
    •    We will be using Google Classroom as the platform to communicate with and teach students. All teachers will use Google Classroom to communicate with students, post assignments, share links to other online learning tools and much more.
    •    All teachers will be teaching via live video conferencing on a daily basis. Just like regular school, students will be expected to be present and prepared at the class start time as shown on your student's Google Calendar. Students must login every period.
    •    Students will access their Google Classroom by logging in through Launch Pad. All students will receive new passwords when they pick up their schedule. Without this new password, students will not be able to login for their classes.

Schedules may be picked up at TEC between 10am and 2pm on August 10, 11, or 12. Students must come to the school to pick up their schedule, get their password to login to Launchpad and Google Classroom, and to pick up their laptop if they already requested one. If you have not requested a laptop, but need one, please email

The first day of school is August 13th. Students must login to their first period class at 10am through Google Classroom. This link is accessible in Launch Pad. Students must have their new password to login.

    Data Confirmation Deadline
Parent data confirmation is a feature of Aeries that allows parents to update student demographics, contacts, medical conditions, and authorization information. It also allows documents to be made available to parents for registration. All TUSD families need to complete the data confirmation process. A banner message will display to the parent on their home page if they have not completed the data confirmation process. Data Confirmation must be completed by August 7th. To update your password, please follow the instructions here. Your confirmation email with your new password can take up to an hour. Be patient.
