Dear Center Flyer Families,
As you have heard, Travis Unified School District took action to extend our school closure throughout the rest of the year. We are so saddened that we will not be with our wonderful Flyers for the next couple of months but please know that we are thinking of you and hoping that everyone stays happy and healthy throughout this challenging time.
We now know that we will be implementing our Learn from Home plans through the final 37 days of our school year. The brilliant Center teachers have collaborated with grade level colleagues from across the district to create common lesson plans that address the essential Reading, Writing, and Math standards for your child to be prepared for the next grade. These lessons were developed to focus on essential concepts and skills that students need to know in their grade level, to prepare them for success in the next grade, to continue academic achievement and growth, and to keep students engaged and curious in learning but will not be graded or reported in a grading system. In addition, these weekly Learn from Home plans will be the same for every child in the district—another avenue of support for all of us. Our hope is you will be able to access these lessons to the best of your family’s ability. Your teacher may also share some other ideas your family may want to choose to complete. Please remember to just do what you can. We are here to support your family and will be here when school resumes to help catch our students back up. However, please do not let any of this bring anxiety or stress to your home. Reach out to any of our amazing teachers, staff members or to me. . . we are all here for you!
I can assure you that each teacher will be doing their very best to implement our new Learn from Home plans and support your students in every way they can. I am asking for your patience, understanding, and a little bit of grace for our teachers and support staff because in the face of all the challenges we are presented with,we are all doing our best. Please take a moment to thank our teachers and support staff, to offer your help in any way possible, and to work together for our students - our children - in this unprecedented situation.

Students not properly wearing helmets while riding a bike, scooter or skateboard to or from school will have their item confiscated for their protection. Parents or guardians ONLY (no older high school aged siblings) will have to come and collect the item from our Student Support Specialist during school hours only. Or your student can bring a helmet to school the following day and ride home. To view the California helmet law please click here.
Center Families for the safety of our students please DO NOT park in the bike lanes or any other posted "No Parking" zones. We highly encourage parents to park in Center's lower parking lot which is across from Vanden High School. And to use the "kiss and go" lane which has a 2 minute parking time limit at the front of Center School. We appreciate everyone's cooperation in this matter and we are committed together to create a partnership between home and school to put student safety first!

1. Birth certificate or other proof of child's age
2. Child's immunization (shot) records
3. Proof of Residence: two (2) separate documents with the parent/guardian’s name and address of residence.
- Acceptable proof of residence documents include: current utility bills within the last 30 days (PG&E, Garbage, Water or Cable
- If you have recently moved into your home and do not have a utility bill, you may bring proof of purchase or a lease within the last 30 days. (Please Note: You will be expected to bring two (2) utility bills as proof within 30 days)
4. Physical form for all students entering school for the first time.
5. For children in grades 1-12:
- Provide a copy of your child's last report card or high school transcript.
6. A copy of current 504 or IEP, if applicable.
