The Governing Board of Travis USD consists of five members who serve four-year terms. One member represents Trustee Area No. 1 (Travis Air Force Base) and must reside on base. The other four members represent Trustee Area No. 2 (Travis USD area except for the base). Additionally, a student member, selected by his or her peers, represents the students of the district and votes in an advisory capacity.
Board meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month with a 5:00 p.m. closed session and a 6:00 p.m. open session. Special meetings and workshops are called as necessary with a 24-hour notice.
Board agendas for regular meetings are available 72-hours in advance of the meeting. Minutes of all meetings are available after being approved by the Board, usually occuring at the next regular meeting. See the Agenda & Minutes webpage.
Board members are always interested in hearing from the community regarding items of public interest within the Board's jurisdiction, and they may be reached at the phone numbers or email addresses listed below.
