Welcome back to the 2023/2024 school year.
We look forward to transporting your students to and from school safely. Here’s some information I hope will help everyone.
A school bus is one of the safest vehicles on the road. However, children are at the most risk when approaching or leaving a school bus. I've outlined some safety tips below, and I urge all parents/guardians to take them into consideration and discuss them with students. Our hope is that with this guidance, we can all help to solve some issues at hand.
School Bus Safety Tips:
- Students should not chase after buses.
- It is illegal to pass a school bus while the red lights are flashing.
- Please have patience when buses are entering and leaving a school site or bus stop.
- Please stay clear of the bus zone at the school sites
I would like to thank all parents, guardians and students for your patience, understanding and support during our shortage of bus drivers. I appreciate our community and all school staff for their tireless commitment to working through the bumps in the road.

Did you know?
The yellow flashing lights warn you to slow down and prepare to stop. When the bus flashes red lights, you must stop from either direction until the children are safely across the street and the lights stop flashing. The law requires you remain stopped as long as the red lights are flashing (CVC §22454). If you fail to stop, you may be fined up to $1,000 and your driving privilege could be suspended for 1 year. If the school bus is on the other side of a divided or multilane highway (two or more lanes in each direction), you do not need to stop.OUR KIDS ARE WORTH THE WAIT!
