Welcome to Scandia!   I am an ex-Air Force brat myself, born in the south, grew up on the east coast, lived in Germany, and came to Travis AFB in 1987 where I attended our district's middle school and High School! Growing up here and having the same experiences as most of our student population has been an asset and relate well to our Military famiies, their mobile lifestyle, and how it may affect our students' daily lives and their education.

I began my journey to becoming a teacher attending Solano Community College, receiving an AA in Journalism, Sacramento State University getting a BA in Liberal Studies, concentrating on Child Development, and was credentialed at Chapman University for levels K-6.

 I've been a teacher at Scandia Elementary since 2001. I began teaching in Kindergarten, moved to 5th grade, taught a 5/6 combo class, 2nd grade, and 4th grade. I also taught 5th grade in the Fairfield-Suisun School district 1999-01. This year I have decided I'd like to use my knowledge and experience as one of our two Intervention Specialists supporting our awesome teachers giving small group instruction when necessary.

I love our school and staff! My daughters attended Scandia K-6, but I am now a proud Mom of a TEC graduate and a Vanden High School student. :)
