Mrs. Annette Bennink

Hello! I have been teaching at Cambridge Elementary for 24 years.  The majority of my teaching career I have taught 4th grade.  This is my second year back in 3rd grade.  I enjoy teaching 3rd grade and am excited about being back in 3rd grade after many years teaching 4th. In 3rd grade, students start becoming more independent.  They start working on multiplication and division in math, as well as fractions and geometry.  Students in my class have nightly homework Monday-Thursday.  In addition to the math worksheet, they are expected to read for at least 20-30 minutes nightly.  They read to learn instead of learning how to read.  We read and discuss many different genres of stories in our language arts program and they are tested on different skills on their weekly Wonders tests every Friday. There are many programs students can use on Launchpad on their computers or tablets at home to help improve their reading and math skills including Moby Max, MAP Accelerator Khan Academy and/or Zearn.  They should also be reviewing their vocabulary words weekly for their test on Fridays.
