Weekly Bulletin for December 10th-December 14th
Hello GW Parents and Community! Here is what is going on at Golden West this week, as well as some important, upcoming dates to be aware of:
Thank you to all our parents who attended the Pastries with the Principal event last Monday, December 3rd. It was great to see so many parents there. As usual, our wonderful PTSA provided some light refreshments and pastries. We are looking forward to our next parent workshop, which is scheduled for Monday, January 14th, from 6-7pm.
This Wednesday, December 12th, is a common planning day, so just a reminder that it's a late start, with school starting at 10:34 am.
Yearbooks are now $35 but the price will be going up again in April ($40), so take advantage of the lower price now. Also, for our 8th grade parents, remember that you can purchase a special page to commemorate the important event that is 8th grade promotion…so get those baby pictures out! J
Our Winter sports begin this week with our first home game on Tuesday, December 18th. Please remember that all students need to get on the 4:15pm activities bus. Only students on the Mustang Squad can stay for the 5:15pm bus. If your student is interested in joining the Mustang Squad, please have them reach out to Ms. Hopfer, who is in charge of our program. Also, any student who stays after 4:15pm, and is not on the Mustang Squad, must have their parent with them at all times. Parents cannot supervise other children, unless they have a note from that student’s parent and the ID is verified. This must be pre-approved prior to the game. Your support, as we work on ensuring that all students are safe and accounted for, is very much appreciated. Should you have any questions regarding this process, please do not hesitate to contact me at (707) 437-8240.
This Wednesday and Thursday, Mr. Honeychurch’s students will be performing. The Band Concert will be on Wednesday, December 12th, from 7pm to 9pm and the Choir Concert will be on Thursday, December 13th, from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. These young ladies and young men are absolutely talented and sound amazing!
I wish you all a great week!
Respectfully, Ms. Aguilar
