    Welcome to Scandia Elementary School!  Scandia serves approximately 570 students in Kindergarten-6th grade.  
     
    Scandia has been recognized as a California Distinguished School FOUR times as well as a California Gold Ribbon School. Scandia continues to be an outstanding example of quality teaching and learning.
     
    With our student demographics reflecting nearly 100% active duty military students, we have a variety of programs in place to support the unique needs of our military families. 
     
    We work closely with the leadership of Travis Air Force Base and the Airman and Family Readiness Center to meet the needs of our students and families.
     
     
    About Mrs. Rushford, Scandia's Principal
     
    Mrs. Rushford came to Scandia from Center Elementary where she was principal for several years. She has been an educator for over 25 years, during that time she served as an elementary school teacher, TUSD mentor teacher, and intervention specialist.
