    This link provides information on how student-athletes can comply with NCAA bylaws in order to compete in intercollegiate athletics. It includes information on what high school students need to do to be eligible to compete their first year in college, as well as guidelines that coaches and prospective student-athletes must follow during the recruiting process.

    Vanden High School Freshmen and Sophomores
    •  Stay involved in sports.
    • Take academic core courses to prepare you for a 4 year college (16 for Division I College, 14 for Division II College) NOTE:Beginning with Fall of 2013 Division II goes to 16 core courses- (see requirements)
    • Maintain A's, B's and C's in all academic classes (watch your GPA)

    Vanden High School Juniors

    • Stay involved in sports
    • Take academic core courses to prepare you for a 4 year college (16 for Division I College, 14 for Division II College)
    • Maintain A's, B's and C's in all academic classes (watch your GPA)
    • Take the SAT or ACT (Junior year) Students must send their scores directly to the clearinghouse using code 9999
    • Register with the NCAA Eligibility Center at www.eligibilitycenter.org.  
    • Print the transcript release form and bring it to the counseling office.

    Vanden  High School Seniors

    • Stay involved in sports
    • Take academic core courses to prepare you for a 4 year college (16 for Division I College, 14 for Division II College)
    • Maintain A's, B's and C's in all academic classes (watch your GPA)
    • Take the SAT or ACT ( Senior year) Students must send their scores directly to the clearinghouse using code 9999
    • Check to make sure you are qualified (Proper GPA and SAT/ACT scores, and the correct # of core courses)
    • Complete amateurism questionnaire and sign the final authorization signature online on or after April 1 if you are expecting to enroll in college in the fall semester. (If you are expecting to enroll for spring semester, sign the final authorization signature on or after October 1 of the year prior to enrollment.)
    • Make sure transcripts have been sent to the eligibility center.
