Hello Vanden Families,
This summer we are offering two ways for students to earn credits.
1) In-person Summer School
Classes will be held on campus from June 8th - June 25th, from 8:30 am -11:35 am. Students will take two classes that their counselor will identify for them. Classes will have a combination of morning in-person classwork and afternoon asynchronous classwork.
2) Online learning at home
Vanden utilizes the online learning program Cyber High for students needing to make up credits. Those students not able to attend in-person summer school, may elect to enroll in a Cyber High course. Students work independently at home when enrolled in a Cyber High class and will be able to work on Cyber High classes through July. Students interested in taking a Cyber High class, should email their counselor to be enrolled.
Vanden students can borrow a TUSD laptop for both in-person summer school or Cyber High.
At this time, bus transportation is not available for summer school.
Please see the attached FAQs for more information about enrollment in summer school and other important topics.
- Counselors are currently working on pre-enrolling students and will be contacting the students/families that are pre-enrolled for In-person Summer School early next week.
