Welcome Vanden Students & Families!

Hello students, families, and staff! My name is Rafael Gavidia (Mr. Gavidia; phonetic spelling: Guh-vee-dee-ah) and I am a school social worker for Vanden High School. I am excited about working with students, families, staff, and the community. As a school social worker, the services that I provide include classroom observations, individual sessions, group sessions, parent workshops, linkages to community mental health resources (Care Solace), professional developments for staff, mental health consultations, and crisis response. LGBTQ+ Community Resources

If you have a student who identifies as LGBTQ+ or is exploring their identity, Solano Pride hosts a parent support group, and many workshops for teens. Please feel free to explore their services and resources.

Referral Form

School Social Worker (SSW) eReferral: VHS 2023-24

Dear Caregivers,

If you would like to refer a student or your family for School Social Work Services, please complete the following e-forms for your designated school above. SSW services include school-based counseling, case management services, weekly check-in/check-outs with students, group counseling, behavioral support, crisis interventions, conflict resolutions, restorative practices, community referrals, and much more.

Care Solace

TUSD has partnered with Care Solace to help families and caregivers get connected to community resources if you are in need of Mental Health services or other resources in the community, explore more information by clicking on the blue "Care Solace" title, or call them directly at (888) 515-0595 to talk to a representative or be connected to services.

CalWORKs Housing Support Program

Need assistance with housing? Reach out to this community organization.

 

Season of Sharing Program

The Alameda County Social Services Agency provides resources and opportunities to enhance the quality of life in our community. This program provides assistance with financial housing assistance. Check out their webpage for more.

 

Solano Legal Access Center

The county provides free Family Law services for families who are unable to obtain legal representation. For more information, follow the link, or call (707) 207-7355 or email them at FLF@solano.courts.ca.gov

 

Solano Trauma Recovery Center

This community organization provides trauma-informed services to victims of crime. They provide clinical and case management services, and crisis intervention and stabilization, along with advocacy work.

 

La Clinica de La Raza

This organization addresses health barriers and creates better lives for the underserved. Today, La Clínica is the first choice for providing multi-lingual, accessible full-scope health care services in the East Bay, no matter a patient’s income level or insurance status.
