Want to Coach at Travis USD?
To become a Coach with Travis Unified School District, all coach applications except for in-district certificated employees must be obtained through the Athletic Director. Completed applications with necessary documents and certifications are required for consideration, and resumes are not accepted as an application. Volunteers are recruited by the school site as needed, and coaches must meet specific valif requirements to be eligible for field coaching.

Requirements to be a Coach
If selected for a coaching position (paid or voluntary), you are required to provide the requirements listed below at a scheduled Live Scan fingerprinting appointment with the district office.

Acknowledgement of Coach's Handbook, ask Athletic Director.
- CPR / First Aid Certification
- Sudden Cardiac Arrest
- Heat Illness training
- Negative TB Results (valid within 4 years)
- Child Mandated Reporter Course from Vector (Target) Solutions
- Not required by live scan, however it is required once hired
- Once fingerprints clear and we have your completed Coach Paperwork you will receive an email to complete the following courses
- Child Abuse: Mandated Reporter
- Anti- Harassment: Training for all Employees
- Recognizing and Preventing Youth Suicide
- Coronavirus 101
- Workplace Violence
- Title IX and Sexual Misconduct
