About CUPCCA
Travis Unified School District has elected to become subject to the California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act [CUPCCAA] and adheres to alternative bidding procedures pursuant to Public Contract Code sections 22000 through 22045. Accordingly, when TUSD is seeking to perform public work projects by contract, we must follow:
Public work projects of $60,000 or less may be performed by the employees of a public agency, by negotiated contract or by purchase order (PCC22032(a)).
Public work projects of $200,000 or less may be let to contract by the informal procedures set forth in the Act (PCC22032(b)).
Public work projects of more than $200,000 shall be let to contract by formal bidding procedures (PCC22032(c)).
In accordance with PCC 22034, the District will maintain a list of registered contractors. The District may either: (a) email notices to required construction trade journals; and or (b) email notices to all contractors for services registered under.
Travis Unified School District invites contractors interested in bidding on any upcoming public works projects to complete and submit the required Contractor Registration Form in order to be placed on the District’s ‘Approved Contractor’s List.’ Travis USD may create a new contractors list effective January 1st of each year and may include any contractor’s name it desires on the contractors list, but must include, at a minimum, all contractors who have properly provided the School District with the Required information, either during the calendar year in which the list is valid or during November or December of the prior year. A contractor may have their firm added to the School District’s contractors list any time by providing the required information.
NOTE: This registration process is for the purpose of being notified of construction related bid opportunities according to your license classification. The registration process is NOT a prequalification process in order to perform work on TUSD sites.
