Throughout the course, students will be exposed to:

A variety of skills and activities that relate to Sports, Lifetime Fitness and Leisure Activities

The components necessary to maintain a healthy lifestyle

Activities that promote an understanding of movement, kinetics, and the human body

A variety of rules and strategies of particular activities, games, and/or sports

Learning and practicing new skills/activities and how that can promote self-confidence, sportsmanship, teamwork, fitness and good health
The focus of 9th grade Physical Education is on Individual and Dual Activities and Team Sports.
Along with the activity portion of class, students will also be exposed to a variety of warm-ups, exercises, and cardiovascular training.
Students will be graded daily based on:

Dressing out for class (PE shorts and shirt with last name and first initial on them)

Participation, Effort, Sportsmanship and Behavior
All 9th graders will participate in the California State Physical Fitness Testing in the Spring.
