School Climate and Safety

  • Welcome to the Local Control Accountability Plan Student Survey

    This survey is also used to collect student data on attitudes, behaviors, and experiences related to school and learning that will support the District in making decisions about programs and services. Some of the key areas assessed by these surveys include school connectedness, access to caring adults, high expectations from staff, feeling safe at school, experiences related to harrassment/bullying, experiencing chronic sadness, and suicidal ideation (secondary only).

    Survey participation is voluntary, anonymous and very important to ensure accurate and useful data.  

    Response options:  Strongly Agree, Agree, Disagree, Strongly Disagree 

    • This school year, I feel like I am an important member of my school family/community. 
    • This school year, I feel like there are activities for me to participate in.  
    • This school year, there is an adult at school who cares about me, supports me, and/or helps me. 
    • This school year, if I have a problem, I know there is an adult at school I can talk to. 
    • This school year, adults at school have high expectations of me.  
    • This school year, I feel challenged academically in my classes.  
    • This school year, I feel physically safe at school. 
    • This school year, I feel emotionally safe at school. 
    • In person, I have experienced ongoing (more than once by the same person) bullying at school this year. (not on a computer or phone) 
    • In person, I have seen bullying at school this school year. (not on a computer or phone) 
    • On a computer, phone or gaming system, I have experienced ongoing (more than once by the same person) bullying online.  
    • This school year, I feel sad often. 
    • This school year, I know where to get help at school when I or a classmate feels sad or unsafe. 
    • This school year, I look forward to coming to school.

    Secondary Survey (Gr 7-12)

    Introduction statement:  This is an anonymous student survey.  This survey will be used by our school staff to better understand the overall experiences and the needs of our students.  Please respond to each prompt honestly based on your personal experience for this school year (2020-2021).  If you are not comfortable responding to a prompt, you may skip it.

    Response options:  Strongly Agree, Agree, Disagree, Strongly Disagree
