Quilt Day was a success with lots of fabric cut, sewn together and quilts made for kids in crisis.  Enjoy the pictures here

The Reporter newspaper came out to cover the event.  Students from National Honor Society joined with members of NorthWind Quilt Guild at Mackenzie Murphy's house to create the quilts which will be given to local children through Nurse Family Partnership a division of Family Social Services, NorthBay Hospital, Safe Families for Children as well as any national disasters where quilts are needed.

Vacaville Binky Patrol hosts the event and meets regularly at A Quilted Heart on the 3rd Sunday of the odd months.  This month Vacaville Binky Patrol celebrates its 10th anniversary.  It was started by Marilyn Lewis who teaches at Vanden High School as a way to comfort children through handmade blankets.  It has grown to over 100 members and over the years has given away thousands of handmade hugs.
