    The Julia I. Carrington Foundation 

    The Julia I. Carrington Foundation offers multiple $10,000 scholarships to undergraduate students pursuing a degree in an agricultural field.

    Scholarships are issued to local students who have resided in Solano County for a minimum of two years and are graduating, or have graduated, from a local high school in Solano County. Consideration will be given first to applicants where a member of their family derives their living from farming or other agricultural means.

     Qualified applicants must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA and plan to attend a California University that offers a Bachelor's degree, or higher in an agricultural field.

    Branson Shows Inspired Scholarship

    Branson Show Tickets is proud to present the Branson Shows Inspired Scholarship, an essay-style scholarship designed to assist in furthering education for young people. 
    1) Branson Shows Inspired Scholarship Topic 
    The essay topic for our annual scholarship is, "How (*Enter Your Show*) Inspired Me to Realize My Dreams." Don't be afraid to be creative or let your personality shine! We want to hear your unique voice! You may include a short personal statement at the end of your essay if preferred, but it is not a requirement. In the event that you have not seen a Branson Show, you may research and use your creativity. 
    2) Award Amount 
    One annual scholarship will be awarded as a one-time grant in the amount of $1,000 to the winning essay recipient or academic institution. The scholarship will be deposited to the financial aid office of the institution enrolled in by the winner. A new recipient will be chosen each year, allowing a greater number of applicants to benefit. Scholarship recipient must enroll, or be enrolled in an institution for higher learning, or they will forgoe the awarded scholarship to the runner up. 
    3) Eligibility 
    The Branson Shows Inspired Scholarship is open to legal residents of the United States between the ages of 16 and 19, who are current students of any accredited educational institution or program of higher learning. High school students and home-schooled students who plan to enroll in college upon graduation are strongly encouraged to apply.

    The NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing (AiC) honors women in grades 9 through 12 who are active and interested in computing and technology, and encourages them to pursue their passions.

    The 2019 Most Valuable Student scholarship contest is open to any high school senior who is a US Citizen.  Applicants will be judged on scholarship, leadership, and financial need.

     The Cooke College Scholarship Program is an undergraduate scholarship program available to high-achieving high school seniors with financial need who seek to attend and graduate from the nation's best four-year colleges and universities.

    To be eligible to apply to the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation College Scholarship Program you must:

    •Graduate from a U.S. high school in spring 2019
    •Intend to enroll full time in an accredited four-year college beginning in fall 2019

    Boston University’s most prestigious merit-based award recognizes students who show outstanding academic and leadership abilities. In addition to exceptional academic credentials, Trustee Scholars are intellectually and creatively adventurous and demonstrate viewpoints, experiences or achievements beyond the usual.     The Johnson Scholarship

    Washington and Lee University

    Winners of the Johnson Scholarship receive awards of at least tuition, room and board to attend Washington and Lee University. Students with financial need higher than this amount will have any additional need met by the scholarship. Every year Johnson Scholarships are awarded to approximately ten percent of the incoming class.

    In addition, Johnson Scholars receive funding in the amount of $7,000 to support summer experiences during their time at Washington and Lee. Internships, volunteer experiences or research projects are just a few of the ways Johnson Scholars may use these funds to explore the world and their own potential for leadership.

    December 29, 2018 Dolman Law Group Scholarship

    The Clearwater auto accident attorneys at the Dolman Law Group understand the value of education. After all, all of our attorneys have earned an undergraduate degree and successfully completed a rigorous juris doctorate program during law school. We also understand that college can place a tremendous financial strain on both students and their families. As a result, we are offering a $1,100 BI-ANNUAL scholarship to a current or prospective college student. The scholarship will be awarded to the winner of our video essay contest, the details of which are outlined below.

    Many times, people in the workplace suffer from harassment, retaliation, and illegal discrimination. This can lead to depression, anxiety, lost wages, and even job loss. What ways can employees and their employers work together to provide a safe, fun, and discrimination-free working environment?

    Deadline to apply for this scholarships is 12/29/2018 at 9AM EST.

    Once the application period closes, we will review all submissions and determine a winner based on the following factors:

    • Video should not be longer than 2 minutes
    • Creativity
    • Originality
    • Feasibility
    • The applicant’s demonstrated potential for success in the legal field

    Drifted Scholarship

    At Drifted we feel strongly about giving back to our community.

    As such we are delighted to announce our annual Drifted scholarship.

    We created the Drifted scholarship to help foster the next generation of automotive photographers.

    This scholarship is designed to help one student advance their photography studies every year with a $500 grant.

    Whether you just want to learn how to point a camera, shoot feature cars or cover high end drifting events, we want to help make your dream a reality.

    Both current students and rising freshmen are eligible for this scholarship. The $500 scholarship will be awarded to one student and the money will be transferred to their University to go towards the tuition fee.

    The student will be chosen based on their creativity in and commitment to what they’re studying. The choice will be made by the Drifted team.

    To be eligible for scholarship consideration, you must achieve an SAT composite of 1240 or ACT composite of 26. Applicant must also attain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. There are no waivers or exceptions to the SAT/ACT or GPA requirements. We now ONLY accept ACT/SAT scores electronically through the ACT or SAT agency using AFROTC Test Code 0548.

    AFROTC policy is to withdraw the scholarship offer to High School Scholarship Program (HSSP) winners who failed to disclose all civil involvements and drug or alcohol abuse that occurred prior to the HSSP interview.

    AFROTC policy is to withdraw scholarship offers to students who use illegal drugs after being briefed on the Air Force drug and alcohol policy during the interview.

    Before you are eligible for the scholarship interview, you must complete the Physical Fitness Assessment (which consists of three events: crunches, push-ups and a 1.5-mile run) and submit the Letter of Certification. If you are offered an Air Force ROTC scholarship, you must pass the Physical Fitness Test before the end of your first semester of college.

    To be eligible for the scholarship interview, you must meet the following requirements:

    • Be a United States citizen or be able to obtain citizenship by the last day of the first term of your freshman year (for four-year offers) or the first term of your sophomore year (for three-year offers). Activation cannot occur prior to obtaining citizenship. Also, if you receive a scholarship and possess dual citizenship, you cannot activate a scholarship or be contracted until you renounce your non-U.S. citizenship.
    • Graduate from a high school or have an equivalent certificate.
    • Be 17 years old prior to scholarship activation.
    • Be under 31 years old as of December 31 of the year you will be commissioned.

    Christermon Foundation Beverage Industry College Scholarship Program

    The licensed California Beverage Industry offers college scholarships in amounts from $3,000 to $6,000 to qualified graduating high school seniors and eligible community college students who will attend an accredited four-year college or university based within the United States, beginning with the fall 2019 semester. 

    Undergrad scholarships will be awarded to children, grandchildren or legal guardians of persons who currently hold full-time employment with, or are a proprietor of, a company holding a valid California liquor, beer or wine license.     GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS for Graduating High School Seniors and Community College transferees:

    Pacific Lutheran University Music Scholarship

    The Department of Music offers more than 250 music artistic achievement awards each year to incoming students seeking to develop their skills alongside some of the most talented student-musicians and faculty members in the Pacific Northwest. You do not need to be a music major to receive a music artistic achievement award; awards are offered regardless of major.

    Music Artistic Achievement Awards and limited endowed scholarships are offered in renewable amounts ranging up to $7,500 per year and are in addition to academic merit awards. The Music Artistic Achievement Awards are available to students in a single specific area (for example – strings, voice, brass, etc) and are renewable up to another three years.  Music Artistic Achievement Award recipients are required to take private lessons in their area, maintain academic standards, and participate in an assigned ensemble.

    Auditions are required and awards are competitive. To be considered for a music artistic achievement award for the 2019-20 academic year, both an application to PLU, as well as the music artistic achievement application form.

    P.L.A.Y. Scholarship

    P.L.A.Y. has always made a point to promote compassion towards animals in both our personal and professional lives. From working directly with local shelters to donating products to animals in need through our Warm Bellies Initiative with the Petfinder Foundation, animal welfare has always been a staple of our business. We know there are plenty of young minds out there that are equally passionate about helping animals in need.

    In an effort to encourage them and promote this cause, P.L.A.Y. will be awarding our sixth annual $1,000 scholarship to a graduating high school senior (2018-2019) who best exemplifies our core beliefs.

    The contest is open to U.S. residents. No purchase necessary. All participants must be enrolled as a full-time high school senior. Entries are limited to one submission per person. Immediate family members of P.L.A.Y. employees are excluded from this contest. 

    To apply, students will submit an essay with 2-3 photos of their volunteer efforts to help animals in need and how that involvement has changed their lives or shaped their perceptions on the importance of animal welfare by February 28, 2019.

    • The essay should be between 500-1000 words.
    • Send a Word doc attachment to SCHOLARSHIP@PETPLAY.COM with your essay submission.
    • The file name should be your full name, state, and date of birth. For example,
    • 2-3 photos of your volunteer efforts to help animals in need
