Medical Excuses From P.E.: Excuses from participation in physical education for medical reasons will be granted upon a physician’s recommendation. A medical excuse from a health care provider is required for a student to be excused for more than a two days. The physician must clearly state the types of activities the student can or cannot participate in and how long the medical condition will last. If a student is legitimately excused from P.E. for a medical reason, he/she will be given a written or alternative assignment which may be completed during their usual Physical Education class time. The assignments cover related subjects and topics in P.E., health, or fitness.
