Welcome to the Media Department here at Vanden High School.

A little about me...

I was born in Mississippi and still have family back home in the south. Throughout my life I have lived in numerous locations...Maine, San Diego, San Francisco, Chico, and Sacramento to name a few. 

 

I went to a performing arts high school in San Diego, where everyday was an amazing experience. 

 

Before becoming a teacher I worked in advertising, broadcasting, marketing and publicity for more about 15 years. During that time I was able to see the world in a myriad of lights. I do miss the fast paced nature of the business, but I have found that high school keeps you on your toes.

 

 

When I am not on campus, I like exploring the surroundings around me close and far. I really enjoy traveling; New Orleans and Paris are my favorite spots.  I am a huge fan of art and music, so attending shows and galleries are regular stops. 

 

Let's not forget the San Diego International Comic Con, excellent people watching and you never know who you might meet.
