    C-STEM Competition at UC Davis

    Saturday, May 20th, the all girls team, Cougars Rock, from Cambridge participated in the C-STEM competition as UC Davis.  They all exhibited collaboration, perseverance, and hard work.  Way to go, girls!

    Last night, May 16th, a Special Board Meeting was held to honor employees who have dedicated 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 years of service to Travis USD and to recognize and congratulate this years retirees for their contributions.

    Congratulations to all of you.  We celebrated the service of 58 classified and certificated staff who have given a total of 910 years of service to Travis Unified.  Employees who have retired or will be retiring this year have dedicated to the district a combined total of over 277 years!  On behalf of the Board, your  colleagues, our students and community, thank you!

    Month of the Military Child Events

    April was filled with events to honor our military children at Travis USD.  Many sites had their own events planned to show their appreciation.  Here are just a couple:  Center Elementary held an assembly Honoring the Military Child and many Purpled Up on April 13th.

    During its regular meeting of April 11, 2017, the Governing Board of the Travis Unified School District heard a presentation on the options for selection of the Superintendent and approved the appointment of Pam Conklin as Superintendent pending successful negotiations and a clear background check.

  • Solano County Science/STEM Fair

    Last Friday, March 31st, Vanden hosted the 5th annual Solano County Science/STEM Fair.  115 high schoolers and 40 middle schoolers submitted projects for participation countywide.   Projects were separated into three categories: life sciences, Earth sciences and physical sciences.  It was a great learning event and we look forward to next year's.

    On an as needed, on-going basis, the Travis Unified School District in Fairfield, California will be disposing of surplus personal property by public auction, eBay, sealed bid, or other appropriate method of disposal. Surplus items may be sold at public auction on eBay through user baycitysurplus. Bay City Surplus may be reached via e-mail at richard@baycitysurplus.com or by phone at 1-800-870-6006. The disposal of surplus District personal property will be conducted in accordance with Education Code.
